Top Events of 2011
December 21st, 2011 by Mat's Sweet Blog
I think the most important event of 2011 is the death of
Steve Jobs because he was the face and brains of apple. Now that Steve is gone
apple has to find a new CEO with many ideas to keep the company on top. Also Steve Jobs brought great product ideas for business, and
entertainment. He was too young to die because of cancer, Steve was always
thinking of new product ideas and the apple will miss a great man.

Tractors
November 22nd, 2011 by Mat's Sweet Blog
There are many different types of tractors but the big three types of tractors are John Deere, Massey Ferguson, and Case IH just to name a
few. Out of all types of tractors our family farm has Massey Ferguson tractors in total we have 3 tractors in total we have a 275, 1135, and a 6490 between these 3 tractors they do all the work on the farm. Tractors are also very fun to ride in because when your driving down the road everyone looks up to you and most drivers wave when they go by even if they don’t know you. Tractors have changed farmers lives for the better because they reduce the amount of input costs because you don’t have to hire a whole army of people to do the same work as one tractor.
John Deere was one of the first founded tractor companies they started by making ploughs in 1837 from old saw blades from saw mills. Later on they tried to make tractor but they didn’t have very much success until they bought out the waterloo boy company in 1918 after having to success with there tractors. Now we have the modern John Deere company succeeding making tractors and many other agriculture products. Now on to Massey Ferguson this company was founded in 1958 after Massey Harris and The Ferguson tractor companies combined. Massey Ferguson took off after having advertisements on the radio and television commercials in the 1960s the advertisements slogan was “He’s a get-up-early, keep-’em-rollin’, Massey-Ferguson kind of a man.” But then the 1970s came Massey ferguson started losing business and went broke. But after the 70s were over the 80s and to today Massey Ferguson is getting more popular in there tractor devision because they are cost effective and are very luxurious. Case IH was founded in 1842 and in the 1940s and 1950s were known for there farmall tractors they later started growing in size when they were bought out by the Italian company Fiat which they are still owned today by.
Tractors have effect in my family life everyday because they work the land up in the spring help with harvest and when it snows the tractors help us to clean out our driveway they even help us when the power goes out by running the generator. Tractors are very useful for my family and many other families in our community.

The School Yard
November 18th, 2011 by Mat's Sweet Blog
The School Yard
There was a school in the little town of Armstrong. Everyone in the school was great friends except this one kid named Albert. He was a bully and he liked to push kids around. No one ever thought he was going to graduate in 2 years because his grades were very low because he spent most of his time bullying kids instead of doing homework and studying for tests. No one thought his reign of terror would ever end.
Then one day the teacher came into the classroom and said “Attention students we have a new student in our class named Robert” everyone in the class said welcome bob except for Albert because he didn’t like to talk to new kids he had better ideas. He thought that he could call him names and get away with it but later Albert found out that after his plan was carried out Robert had told the teacher. After break she came over and said to Albert “Be nice to the new kid it’s his first day here” Then he grinned and said “Ok”.
The next day Albert thought he could sneak up behind him and scream to see how terrified he was so he rounded up two people that he saw in the hallway and told them to hid in the bathroom and then in less than a minute bob comes walking into the washroom and everyone that was hiding yelled and Robert ran out of the washroom in terror and hid under the desk. After a minute the teacher came over and asked “What are you doing” then Robert “There is a ghost in the boys washroom”, “Really” said the teacher.
After school that night Robert was talking to some of his new friends about the ghost in the washroom then they said “There’s no ghost that was just Robert and two 5th graders”. The next day Robert and his friends were planning a great joke to play on Albert to get him back from the previous jokes he played on Robert. The plan was to set a water balloon in a tree and have a string attached when Albert walks by the string will break and the water balloon will fall on his head. They waited for 5 minutes then finally they saw Albert walking towards his tree he sat on the ground and then the string broke and the water balloon fell on his head leaving him soaked from head to toe. He looked around furiously and yelled “ WHO DID THIS” and then heard the laughing from the bush behind the tree he slowly started walking over and saw Robert and his friends laughing away, “That’s it” said Albert don’t do that ever again.
Furiously Albert started thinking of a evil way to get Robert and his friends back for dropping a water balloon on him. Then he spotted a Mr. Samsung the principle at the school and started to walk towards him but, then he started to think, telling Mr. Samsung will be funny but getting revenge will be even better that telling on them. Then suddenly he thought of the evil plan he called the master plan. Then the bell rang loudly, through the last block Albert started planning his revenge on Robert and his friends. The next day at first recess Albert climbed up the tall tree with 1 balloon filled with worms. Then Albert saw Robert and his friends. Albert shot the balloon it soared and the air screamed behind it. The balloon flew right at Robert but then Robert saw the balloon and ran away. And then it happened the balloon hit Mr. Samsung the balloon splitting and spreading the worms all over Mr. Samsung. Laughing spread over the playground but Mr. Samsung yelling “ALBERT, GET OVER HERE NOW!” Albert jumped out of the tree and walked slowly, knowing he was in big trouble.
